Is it OK for parents to discourage relationships for teenagers ?

Teenagers fall in love, and if two teens fall in love with each other, it's cruel to forbid them from being in a relationship. It's ok to discourage relationships, but outright banning relationships usually is not the best course of action, and may breed rebellion and resentment. Instead of banning relationships altogether, allow relationships, but with restrictions (curfew, keep grades up, etc). Of course, it's fine to ban relationships if the teenager is clearly very irresponsible, or the boyfriend/girlfriend is an extremely bad influence, but if the teenager is reasonably mature and responsible, give love a chance!
