Condoms in school
Should condoms be distributed in schools🤔?
Studies show that distributing condoms in schools do not affect teenage pregnancy rates nor STI rates. Schools that distribute condoms without adequate instruction and sex education see a slight increase in teenage pregnancy rates, whereas schools that pass out condoms along with comprehensive sex education see a slight decrease in teenage pregnancy rates. Schools that have an abstinence-only sex education program (and of course do not pass out condoms), also see an increase in teen pregnancy rates. So, while Didi doesn't have a strong opinion on free condoms at school, she is very much a proponent of comprehensive sex education in schools. Knowledge is power!
